I have a whirlpool dryer that was not heating so I cleaned out the vent and I just replaced the gas solenoid coil's on and it's working great, too great. The dryer is now getting too hot. The top and sides are not 'hot' to the touch, but when I open the door it smells like like something is burning, which it never did before. I just want to know if this is an issue? I have checked the belt and everything is moving smoothly, not grinding anywhere.
My concern is that by using cheap-o internet solenoids that maybe they are letting too much gas into the dryer? My local parts shop wanted 47$ for solenoids and the ones I purchased on the internet were 10$
Thanks for any advice.
