DWC283BLS Danby Wine Cooler

Hi everyone,

I just inherited a DANBY WINE COOLER which was working perfectly when I picked it up. After I drove it home and plugged it in, it turned on just fine but it wouldn't get cold.  I waited the 1 hour before plugging it in, I have it plugged directly into the wall (no extension cord) and it's on level ground in a cool, spacy corner just like it said to do in the manual. The electrical system is working as specified and it's doing SOMETHING because it makes a few clicks every few minutes. However,  the internal temperature won't cool.  Instead, it's rising.

I don't hear a fan running, and Danby support said it might be the thermostat but I am not convinced...?

Any thoughts on what it could be and how easy it is to repair myself?

Sounds to me like the compressor start relay got loose on the trip home.
Unplug the machine.
Remove the start relay cover.(the cover over the wires going to the compressor)
Push in on the relay and try it again.

While you have it open, pull the relay off of the compressor and shake it, if it rattles, it's bad and needs to be replaced.

That was totally it. The relay was loose.  What a quick and easy fix.  Thank you so much!
