Amana Dishwasher not working.

The dishwasher just stopped working.  

It's still getting power because every now and then the rinse only light comes on.  Then it turns off after a little while.  

I've attempted to open up the front panel but I could see no obvious visible defects.  

The latch handle is broken but I can still get it to open.  

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If the latch is broken there are microswitches built in that will keep it from running...

The latch has been broken for a while and it's been working fine.

Is there any way to test it?

The panel won't work at all not just it won't start.  I could set it before I shut it, now It won't light up at all ( except for the before mentioned rinse light thing)

Sounds like a defective control panel . Turn the power off to dishwasher remove the torx screws holding the inner door panel on . Check the area where the control panels ribbon connector enters the touch pad area . There is a slot in the control panel plastic . Look for discoloration in the ribbon connector .If its brownish the control panel is bad . I was told by the tech line to silicone the area in question to stop any moisture or water vapor from getting into this area . Not a cheap part unfortunately .
