Gibson Heatpump

Gibson heatpump will run in cooling but not in heating. Have to switch to EM heat. Not getting 24V to contactor in heating mode. What to check?

That would have to be in the wall thermostat I would say. You getting 24 volts out there on the cooling side?

A heat pump sends power to the condenser on "Y" (yellow) wire in heat or cool.
Since your cool setting brings on the compressor your problem is in your thermostat.
