wire new blower motor
« on: December 09, 2013, 06:47:41 PM »
furnace blower motor died, i got a replacement, but the wires aren't the same colors. i know that my terminology is terrible, but i can do the work i promise. I'm just trying to figure out which wires go where. what i have so far is:
New motor: brown and brown/white wires go to the capacitor, one on each side
new blue and new yellow get capped off since I don't need so many speeds
new red to old grey
new black to old red
new white to old black but my problem is that the old black came off the old capacitor so I don't know how to deal with that

i have attached pictures with descriptions since i don't know the terminology. any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated
