Whirlpool Wall oven "poof"

Have a 24inch Whirlpool wall oven,the oven bake burner works great,no problem.However the broil burner comes on lites up and then after it has lit and broiling it will make a poofing sound,sometimes fairly loud,but it stays lit.Wonder what could the problem be?Can someone provide some insight into this thing?

For the gas to modulate thru the broil burner could indicate that the  burner may need to be cleaned  well. If one or more of the holes along the length of the burner is clogged, it can impede the ignition. In most cases, you will see only 1/2 of the burner tube ignite. After enough gas accumulates from the unlit side, it "poofs" fairly loudly and goes on about its business.  There is a slit between the 2 sides of the broiler tube which acts as a crossover for the gas to breach during ignition so pay close attention to this area when cleaning. I use a brass-bristle brush for such jobs as a rule. Careful not to  touch the ignitor or bump it.

I am on natural gas.I have taken the burner out cleaned it,and it lights fairly evenly and starts to work good,then it just makes the poof sound.Like it's trying to caught

Does it do this repeatedly or just once during the broil cycle?

It does it off and on durning the broil cycle.If I turn it off then to relight it I have to use a match,because even though the igniter glows,and pulls about 3.06 amps it will not light from the igniter.I can hear gas coming out of the burner,and it lights from a match.??
