Maytag Gas Dryer stopped heating

I am not very familiar with gas dryers.  This dryer was drying fine then was running but no heat.  Turned timer to off and then restarted cycle and it finished the load.  The next load no heat and did not start after restarting.  Gas line has not been touched.  Dryer is clean and clear of all lint.  What would the most common issue be for this?

Not a guessing game. There are simple steps to get the correct part without a whole lot of  "back and forth".

 Start by checking for 120 volts to the gas valve and the ignitor or looking at the ignitor to see if it glows when the unit is running.  If the ignitor glow but no ignition, replace the gas valve coils. If no glow, it's likely the ignitor.
