Dishwasher leaking at heating element

My Frigidaire FDB1050REM0 dishwasher is leaking around the heating element where it goes through the bottom of the tub. I almost got it to stop but the nuts slip on the treads when I tighten them. The nuts are strange looking and have a split in them. I don't know if this split is supposed to be there or not? I need help to figure out what to buy or how to fix this... Do I replace these nuts or use something to seal around the element or WHAT???

I did find the nuts for the element on another site. I put those on and now it no longer leaks there BUT... apparently I overlooked another leak. It has a leak from the retainer clip that holds the pump in. It leaks only when water is running into the dishwasher, does not leak while pumping or running its cycle. I pulled the pump but could not see anywhere that could be leaking. What do you think is wrong to cause this leak?

Pull the pump off,there is a seal between it and the unit,put some food grade silicon on it and reinstall it .See if that stops your leak.Check them pump good when you remove it .

you are seeing where the water is leaking off the tub, not where the leak is originating
your leak is comming from higher up, you will have to run the machine through a few fills then drains to get all the areas good and wet, then you must pull the machine from the wall and follow the water trail to its source

from retainer clip i assume you mean the rubber tabs that hold the sump into the tub

also from your description i am going to say your leak is on the left hand side, cause this is the side water enters the machine, you likely have a hole in the black rubber hose that goes from the water inlet valve, up the side of the machine where it attaches to the side of the tub
