Maytag Load-Sensing Washer,   Model – MVWC6ESW, standard capacity, stainless steel tub.

This machine was just purchased in May, 2010 and it is already a problem.

On all Load Settings (except Hand Wash) when the water flow starts, the agitator begins to agitate right away.

In the Spin-Dry cycle for all the Load Settings (except Hand Wash), right at the end of the Spin-Dry cycle the water flow comes on briefly for 3 or 4 seconds and soaks the wash load.

What is the cause of this problem?

The load sensing switch is failed, It is labed as fabric softener/ no fabric softener.  That machine is still in Warranty.  Call a Authorized Whirpool servicer to get it fixed at no charge to you.  I have seen a bunch of these things fail, don't know why, but they do.

Must be sensing an unbalance and trying to correct but stuck in that mode.
