Whirlpool Refrigerator Condesner Motor

Hi Guys,

I have a Kenmore Refrigerator Side-by-Side Model# 10653606202

A year ago I replace a burned out condenser fan motor part # W10181323

It seems to stop working for some reason, to the fact that I have to push the fan with a dowl or stick to get it running.. it seems

to run fine but every now and then it will get stuck or not startup by itself and I will have to push the fan blade to get it back

running. Its fairly clean where the fan is at, and there is no lint or spiders causing it to stop spinning.

It also doesn't feel like its binding and turns very easy.  I also noticed that this motor is a very low current draw type to save energy.

115V-600Hz  48mA

Has anyone ever had a problem like this?  Maybe its just a bad new motor.

should I just replace it again?   Thnks for your time and interest

Ok I will try some of that oil.. its good for just about anything.. I love that fill tube it also comes with and its

priced at a very reasonable price too.  Seems like a very light oil.

-BTW JWWebster - My dishwasher water inlet valve is working great so far.. no leaks.. and the other added parts make it

a nice refurbished dishwasher.. so nice to keep this machines running.. afterall, they need it from time to time! "they do work for us, right!"

Low starting torque, and the intent to be 'green' (low energy usage during operation.) Quieter than the older classic open frame motors... I'm not second guessing their empirical choice, but...

Seriously, when WPL initially spec approved (for use in production) the Panasonic motors in their units I don't believe they had been appreciably field tested for abusive environments (like the rear of a typical refrigerator, heat/dust etc); plus, when you add any shaft mass (fan blade) the low starting torque becomes an issue for reliability. IMHO a plastic blade does better than a metal one (lower mass); however, we've had to replace motors with either style blade.
