I'm located west of Austin towards Fredericksburg on the attached link. Only if the storm were to impact Corpus Christi or Galveston would we be concerned up here. Glad I moved off the coast in 1997.

Well I been down to the boat pumping it out. I got it positioned with some ski ropes I hope. The wind is picking up outside. We have tornado warnings and lots of limbs down. The water is 3 feet above normal. 45 mph winds are going through downtown with some gusts.

Looks like it might just go towards Texas. You might get some water out of this monster. I have an idea for a unique way to make money from home. I call it free appliance repair. The way it would work is the cust will bring appliance by my house. I will make a diagnosis as to what may be the problem for free and help the cust fix the appliance. Here's the kicker. I will take the cust over to the parts store and he will buy the parts at retail. We will go back and fix the appliance and I will send him on his merry way. All for free. If I get a tip that's just icing on the cake.
The real money will be from my sales commission I get at the parts store.
What do you think?

Unless your commission covers the taxi service to the parts store, i doubt it would work. Why not just charge a small diagnostic fee and send him off to the store with the part number?
Isn't it knowing
which
part to recommend that makes you special?

Well see I will let the cust drive me to the parts store so that they will see my pretty face and verify that indeed it was me that got the sale.Did I mention I live less than a mile away from the largest and best equipped parts store in my area? Sweet aint it? On top of that I could go to work for them in 3 seconds if my health was not failing.

Hope that works out for you.
My time is money. Fortunately I work in an area where there is lots of it.

Sounds like a lot of money until you start paying bills and buying food.
