Have you tried to look into new wine cellars? it might be not that expensive, and considering so much hassles you have to go through to find the right parts, it could be worthwhile buying new one.

Thanks for the update, please do keep us posted.  O0

Well, I replaced the thermostat part # 4334859.  Unfortunately, same symptons.  It just keeps running into very cold temps.

strange thing when its off, it holds room temps 10 degrees warmer than the rooms temperature.

I really wish I knew which part was bad here....

Turning the control counterclockwise (a lower number) will raise the temperature inside the wine cellar. Turning the control clockwise (a higher number) will lower the temperature. You might just need to tweak it. Their are 2 kinds of thermostats. Some just judge temp of air while others have to be mounted directly on the evaporator. I am wondering is your mounted correctly inside the machine?

Thanks for the info.

Here is what I know.

#1, the thermostat was not originally mounted to the evaporator, it was just 'coiled' up.  This was the original setup and it worked fine originally.  This is exactly how I installed the new thermostat.

#2, in regards to setting the temperature, yes I understand the temperature control knob on the thermostat.  In its lowest counter-clockwise position (warmest) It will continue to run temperature well into the upper 40's.  Much colder than appropriate...

Any other ideas/???

Try to mount the bulb directly to the evaporator. Maybe it will shut down faster and solve the probo.

it runs all the time and warms inside when the unit is turned off

that sure sounds like the light is staying on inside when the door is closed, is the light on with the door closed?

if so that incandesent bulb is a tiny heater, thats why the unit gets hot inside when its turned off, and probably why its freezing things, the bulb will warm the control housing and thermostat and trick it into thinking the compartment is not cold enough

there should be a lil metal bracket on the bottom of the door to activate the light switch, these get bent or broken over time
