Whirlpool Service Matters
« on: October 16, 2010, 06:03:03 PM »
It appears Whirlpool's "Sevice Matters" now needs a password?  Or is there something I am missing?

Sorry about that. Thought you posted this in the technician only section of our forums. I'm posting from my blackberry. You need to be a AJ team member to read the tech only board.
Hope you find our website helpful.

The answer is that Whirlpool put a screeching halt on non-technician access to their website technical section.
Sorry.
We will help you as best we can.

jmont are you a tech?

Some info on jmont from one of his old topics.

Liability insurance

I think we need to be careful on simply taking the word of a person online as to if they are a technician or not.

It's easy enough for anyone to say, yes I'm a technician. But it's another thing for them to prove it by helping answer appliance repair question in this forum.

JW  - -  I have worked in the electric utility business for 38 years.  I am in communications and control.  I am going to try appliance repair part time as a retirement job.  I have been studying for well over a year and I am on the verge of taking some calls very soon.  As matter of fact the first one is this afternoon, although for a friend.

Welcome then jmont, hang around and report to us what you are working on. We have many people in the forum that are learning the trade. We love it when we hear from them. If you see a question and you know the answer let us know by posting it. These new fangled machines are so complex even the most seasoned repairman must keep up with this stuff. Some students and newcomers have first hand knowledge of the latest equipment. We like to think we all work together for the betterment of all plus ourselves. Welcome to the forum. Don't be afraid to ask questions and do not be afraid to contribute as well.
