GE Profile Washer Top Load Noisy During the Wash Cycle

The only way you should have gotten a new faulty motor is if an independent service company that had the motor on the shelf for a long time did the repair. From what I understand the faulty motors shouldn’t have been sold from GE in a while now. But I can see and independent service company still having one of the old motors. The bad part is if I had one of the old faulty motors it would take an act of congress for GE to take it back but if I installed it and it failed I could easily get GE to cover the new motor under warranty regardless of the age of the washer. I got a motor now that may be one of the faulty motors. I need to check because I know I have had it for a right good while.

There is a packing slip on the box which holds the new motor.  The packing slip has the order date of 2 weeks before the service call.  The box was open in front of me.  For sure, it is not an old stock carried by the authorized GE service company in Canada.
