In the photo you have the 300f limit removed. Is that the one you say is ok?

i only took out the one you noticed as i am confused as to which i am to check next.

can you tell me what to check next based on the photo i attached ?  or do you need a different photo ?

thanks again.....

Don't see the attached photo, but if you checked the white fuse and it was ok, then stand behind the dryer. Look at the silver duct on the right, follow it to the top and you will see two red wire attached to another fuse on that silver duct. Check it for continuity.

If you have not checked the WHITE fuse it is located left of where you connect the dryer vent, underneath the thermostat.

i DID check the white (thermal) fuse.  and it's good.   i then removed the 300f ? (as indicated by JWWebster) which sounds like what you have also described to me towards the top of the silver duct and attached by 2 red wires.

is this correct ?  i shall check that as well.

thanks

Yes. Both fuses need to be checked.

If the fuse is good and the dryer won't run I suspect the Door Switch

ok... so... i checked the thermal fuse.. which is still good.

and i just checked this one (in photo) and it also is GOOD.

the scenario again : the dryer was on all night. in the morning, the dryer was still running. i stopped it.. and now will not start again.

could it really be the door switch ?  i am willing to check every possibility... but just wanted to restate the situation for clarity.

thanks as always for your expertise and help.
