Jenn-Aire Burners Malfunctioning

When i turn on the rear burner it only comes on high and when i turn on the front burner they both come on. What gives?

Sounds to me like you have malfunctioning switches or shorted elements or both. Remove the insert from the stove and check the elements to see if any are shorted then check the switches. This video shows infinite switch operation:

The switch to the rear element is stuck on.  The H1 connection to the burner cartridge is a shared connection for both switches.  That's why both burners come on when you turn on the front one.

Reg these stoves have drop in modules. You can yank out a module front and back burner and drop in a griddle. Modular type down draft stove I believe. The Modules have receptacles and prongs. Confused yet? LOL

I don't see any connection between one Burner H1 and any other Burner connection

The cartridge has 3 prongs and a grounding pin (see pic).  The lone prong to the right of the pin is the common H1 connection for both burners.  The other 2 prongs are the H2 connections for each burner.

AHH ..thanks, I was looking at the wrong wiring diagram with the "round" burners ...
