Whirlpool washer won't spin

I have replaced the agitator dogs and the coupler but washer still will not spin fast enough to wring clothes
What else could the problem be?

A garment stuck between tubs.
A weak motor.
A bad clutch/brake.

I am experiencing the same issue and read everything in here on the subject. The videos were great and when I disassembled the unit, it almost went as smooth as in the video.

The pump would not disengage from the motor on my unit, even after removing the screws and springs. The shaft that goes into the pump appears to be rusted. I don't want to force anything and then have to buy additional parts. Has anyone else experienced this? I did give it a shot of wd-40 and let it sit.

I have seen it so bad the shaft rusted slap off the motor. You are going to have to remove the pump without breaking or damaging the motor. Sit the motor and pump on a good work bench and use a hacksaw to remove the pump. Take care not to damage the motor bearings and shaft.

When you do get the pump, off take emery cloth and clean the rust off the motor shaft. Your pump has most likely been leaking for a while even if you haven’t noticed it.

Great point Ryan. Failure to clean off the old shaft will damage the new pump.
