Kenmore Elite Dryer with Electronic Touch Pad

Dryer touch screen will not do anything.  I checked power to unit, drum light is on it is getting full power at terminals.  I did tests on P4-1 to pins on P3-1 and got 120 volts measured.  The guide says that it is a bad touch pad.  Before I fork out the money...any advice?  The dryer is in great shape otherwise, just the electronic part is messed up.
