The dryer as long as you hold the start button in it will run , but as soon as you let go of the button it will stop. Any help will be appreciated.

Typically this will be the switch in the motor. It could either be bad or there could be lint in between the contacts. Try blowing and vacuuming the motor out and see if that corrects the problem. If not you most likely have a bad motor.

I couldn’t get that model to come up even at sears, but if there is a belt tension switch check that also because some models are wired in such a way that if the belt is broken or the belt tension switch is bad it will do as you describe. A lot of dryers don’t have this switch but like I said I couldn’t get this model to come up.

If the filter goes in the top the start switch or the motor is bad. If the filter goes in the door the broken belt switch is tripped, if the filter is in the door and the drum turns, the centrifugal switch or the motor is bad.

Yeah, model number doesn't come up. If it says "Even Heat" on the console, you have either a bad control board or motor relay.

It is gonna be this switch.
Start switch.
Lift the tab up and twist the switch a quarter of a turn after removing the knob.

Why buy it from sears though? If your going to buy it online it's not only cheaper at RepairClinic.com, but they also help support this forum.
