I have an older manual which I am sure would help you get inside the machine. I would look for the limit on the heater element although I WISH John would come back and speak up.
I have summoned the master. We shall have to wait for his appearance. Cross your fingers

<<<Hi, My LG electric dryer DLE 7177 has decided to stop working. I have no light nothing.>>>

**************

If the power to the dryer is verified and is 220 volts...

If the POWER button is pressed and absolutely *no* lights are lit on the control panel---then the MAIN BOARD has failed.

Part Number: 6871EL1013A

Good Luck.

Have you tested the voltages at the (3) Studs on the Dryer's Power Teminal Strip ?

My LG DLE 7177 was totally dead. I replaced the control board, still dead. I am showing 120V @ Dryer outlet. Do i need 220V for dryer to work? would be a breaker problem or power cord issue? thanks

An electric dryer needs 240 to work right. You might just have an electrical problem instead of an appliance problem.

bestcell,

I merged your two topics into one. Being your questions are still about the same appliance there is no point in starting another topic.

Please keep all your questions about this dryer in this topic as it will make it easier to help you.

Thanks,
Hope you find our website helpful.
