refrig leaking water

had some water on the floor under the refrig.
i decided it was probably a clogged drain tube so i removed the evapoator cover on the freezer side and shot some hot tap water into the hole to clear it out.
to my surprise the drain tube situated over the drain pan flowed very well. it was not clogged.
further inspection revealed the water was leaking around the lip of the rubber gromment in the trough-drain inside the freezer comparment.
since there is only about a inch of room between the evaporator mounting bracket and the trough-drain it was impossible to remove the rubber gromment.
question how is the rubber gromment attached to the drain tube?
can i pry the rubber gromment up and then from the back of the machine push the drain hose up so i can remove the gromment and replace?

I think I need to push the drain tube up from the back
then put silicon under the rubber grommet and RESET?

I have had to replace some faulty ones for maytag. That was what the instructions said to do. Make sure it is dry and warm, and that the lip of it is flush with the liner so water can easily flow down it.

it's not like plugging the BP oil leak in your part of the country but
i ordered part# 241957901 drain tube and lets see if i can GET IT RIGHT. BP move over vikings in TOWN.
