Whirlpool defrost bimetal

It seems like on many Whirlpool top freezer models, such as the model referenced, the part list and diagram do not show the defrost bimetal thermostat.    Is there a generic or universal part which subs in?

Your refrigerator shows the thermostat with the whole freezer wire harness for 50 bucks. I would splice in a WR50X50 thermostat kit for 15 bucks.
