Like many others in here my washer fills up with water just fine, it just won't drain, spin, or agitate.  When I close the lid I can hear the switch click and the motor will hum for about 10-20 seconds then shut off.  It will stay off for about a minute then there is another click and the motor will hum for another 10-20 seconds.  After draining the water manually I rocked the washer back and looked under it while my wife turned it on.  I can see the coupler and it is intact so I don't think that's it.  But I also see when the motor starts to hum the belt "jumps" like it's trying to start but gets stuck, when the humming stops the belt releases.

I bet ya you have a sock stuck in the pump.

Unplug the washer

Slide the machine out from the wall about 2 feet.

Tilt the machine backwards and lean it against the wall
-use 2x4's to prop it up if you have to

pull the 2 clips off the pump with a screw driver and disconnect the 2 hoses

Inspect pump, and/or set the machine back down, and try to start it again and see what kind of results with the pump removed.

Before you start, if you have a wet dry vac, get it ready for when you disconnect the drain hose from the pump.  You'll thank me later.

If not get a bucket and some towels handy.

That was it Cheesy though it was a swimsuit insert and not a sock.  Thank you very much for the help.
