Hi
This dryer will only work if the start button is held in. As soon as you let go of the button the dryer stops. I have checked Continuity on the start button and when you press it in it beeps. Do I still need to replace the start button?
Thanks jake

Hi,

There is nothing wrong with the start button. The start button should only have continuity when it is pushed in as it only needs to be closed until the motor gets going.

You have a bad motor and it will need to be replaced.

I looked up your model number and it uses motor part # 279787

Oh, I missed the relay on this one. I believe you are correct and it maybe just the relay.

Hi
I found that there were to relay swtiches so I replaced them both. Before I replaced the relay I could hold the start button in and it work work untill I released the start button. Now with the the new relay switches in nothing. The relay makes a clicking noise then the timer starts ticking but no motor, this time. I even put the old relay on and same thing, motor does not kick on. The door switch is good too. I checked power at the terminal but not sure how to check power at the motor?

check the white Thermal Fuse on the Blower Housing..

also, make sure when the Dryer is set for no heat, that there is no heat.

and check your VENT system ..
