Yes there is... strip a piece of #12 solid wire down and wrap 1/2" of it around the Calrod defrost heater that sits over the drain. Run the other end of this wire down into the drain about 1" or so. This should help a lot.
Also, set the temp control down at least 1 notch....you may be getting it too cold while not compensating for the huge humidity we are all facing as a result of the wet winter, spring and summer most of us are having. You cannot set it too low, as it is a freezer. As long as the temps in the middle shelf are at 0 to -15 degrees, the food is fine.
