I have a hard time agreeing with this chart. In my experience some are longer life but most are less, of course it is done by the manufacturers. When was this published?

it was a market research report i found on the internet in june.

their are variables to the life of any appliance ie. preventive maint, location etc
check the average it's better than looking at the highs and lows.

That's what I mean, I can't see most lasting the minimum time frame. Most customers are changing out machines before the lower year area around N CA where I am. The cost of repairs mostly the price increases in parts has shortened the life. I can remember repairing 95% of the machines 25 years ago. Now repairing 60% as the cost of machines has flattened out and labor and parts have gone up.
