Can you show any photos of the repair
You must have left something out when you replaced the spin pawl.
What was the washer doing before you replaced the spin pawl intermitant spin?

The washer was working fine just intermittent spin, it would not spin everytime, maybe once out of 5 loads it would not spin on its own but if i put it back on spin cycle it would eventually spin. Now I can't get it to spin at all.

I am not an expert on this but it feels like the brakes are on.

I can replace the transmision for the cost of a service call but I want to make sure that's the problem.

I went back and checked the gear case and everything looks fine, the little spring that was mentioned earlier was still there the only thing that I was confused about was the plastic ring with teeth that went under the plastic gear with teeth that's on top of the gear case when you open it, the ring just goes on the bottom of the gear and nothing holds it in place if it is just spinning around how can it engage?

The lid swtich is fine. The washer makes noise and sucks water out of the tub but no spin and no other strange noises.

In that manual above on page 12. It shows how those parts should line up under the main drive gear.

I will open the gear case again and check, I have one question, the 3/4 round plastic ring with teeth on it, do you attach to the bottom of the gear or do you line up before putting the gear on? if you attach then how do you line up and if you line up then put the gear on it will move when you are putting on the gear. Does this part have anything to do with spinning?

If it went through 2 full cycles this morning including spinning why would do everything but spinning now? does'nt mean that everything in the gear case was installed correctly if I was able to do 2 loads this morning with no problem?

You attach it to the bottom of the gear.

I think I will go ahead and order the transmission since the laundry is pilling up and I reallly need to fix this.

I do have one last question, the piece of plastic almost shaped like a P I think it is the brake cam, is this part supposed to have about a half inch play in it when you rotate it left or right? I want to make sure I pick up everything I need at one time.

You may as well order a clutch as well. A new brake cam comes with it.
