no binding. Could I have made a mistake inside the gear case? I just opened the gear case and everything looks fine. The only thing I am not sure about is the plastic ring with teeth on it that goes under the big plastic gear I needed to take off to get to the spin pawl, does this plastic ring just snaps on the bottom of the big plastic gear?

I finally got the machine to spin, everything works fine the only problem I have is I only have low spin. What would cause this?

Low spin in all cycles? After it spins is the motor real hot? Could be the motor.

Did you use the old plate when you installed the neutral pack? If you did not then you need to go back in there and use the original plate. Why? Because the neutral pack comes with several options depending on serial number and production run.

What is the neutral plate? I only replaced the spin pawl.

I did 2 loads and it seemed to spin fine but when I did a third load I cannot get it to spin, it goes through all the cycles fine just the spin cycle, it makes noise like it is spinning but it just won't spin.

If I replace the transmission would it fix my problem? my motor is fine, the coupling is fine, what else could it be? how can I check to see if the brakes are on when they are not supposed to be?

I am really desperate to get this fixed!

If I order a transmission what else should I replace? I am curious to why you say I need a transmission? did I do anything wrong? Where would the cheapest place to get a transmission from?

Can you show any photos of the repair
You must have left something out when you replaced the spin pawl.
What was the washer doing before you replaced the spin pawl intermitant spin?

The washer was working fine just intermittent spin, it would not spin everytime, maybe once out of 5 loads it would not spin on its own but if i put it back on spin cycle it would eventually spin. Now I can't get it to spin at all.

I am not an expert on this but it feels like the brakes are on.

I can replace the transmision for the cost of a service call but I want to make sure that's the problem.

I went back and checked the gear case and everything looks fine, the little spring that was mentioned earlier was still there the only thing that I was confused about was the plastic ring with teeth that went under the plastic gear with teeth that's on top of the gear case when you open it, the ring just goes on the bottom of the gear and nothing holds it in place if it is just spinning around how can it engage?

The lid swtich is fine. The washer makes noise and sucks water out of the tub but no spin and no other strange noises.

In that manual above on page 12. It shows how those parts should line up under the main drive gear.
