Maytag Dryer hums...occasionally starts

Put a new belt on the dryer about a month ago and now the unit will occasionally not start...just hums. I took it apart and blew all lint and stuff from the motor. I taped the door switch leads together and started the unit without the belt and the motor works fine albeit a bit noisy. Seems like it has a harder time starting after drying a load of clothes. I lubricated the bearings on the motor, idler pulley, and cylinder bearing wheels. When it is running it sounds a little rough. How common is a motor bearing problem and I assume you can't change those and need to replace motor.

motors are not repairable

they will make a growl on start-up when they are on their way out

Mine is a little grizzly at start and maintains some while running. Didn't know if I could replace start relay as an option but I guess if the start relay was bad it would start...right? I mean it can't start on the run windings..correct?

Double check the front drum support.
Make sure it is seated correctly and not binding.
Check the front drum glides.
Check that the belt is looped correctly and is on the motor pulley,not off to the side.
