Frigidaire refrigerator is too cold

Frigidaire FRS23LH5DS9 refrigerator is too cold and freezing things. noticed the blend door that is between freezer and fridge is either all the way open or all the way closed. How does this system regulate where the door opens too? and are there any common components with issues to test, if if so how? Thanks!
