He said he was going to get his webmaster to do it. Maybe he ain't computer savvy or maybe he hires it out.

Yes, I bought it about six years ago. At that time I had some appliance repair experience but I was clueless about how to get customers. IMHO- Harry offers good value for the money. If you buy the masters course, he includes some fast moving parts to get you started.

Here's a Free web page for Appliance students.
I spent all morning looking for it after a computer crash.
I don't know of any strings attached, I used it some, to give a different point of view on different appliances.

The electric portion is good. Seems to be weak  area for many of  me/ us.

I have been in this business for 37 years as of April, 2010.  If you want to do appliance repair,  the best way (in my opinion) to get there would be to take your courses,  read this websight and any others you find and take your online course,  and then get a job for an established company.    There,  you can work for a year or so and get some experience.     I was a service manager for many years before I established my own company.    That way,   you can absorb the knowledge of the experienced technicians that work for whatever company or company's you work for.    To jump right into your own business may not be the best way to learn.    Remember,   you may run into a new frontload washer one day,  and a 45 year old Caloric range the next.  Thousands of different makes and models of appliances out there.   Lots to learn!!!     After you gain a ton of experience,  accumulate tools and knowledge,   then it would the most prudent time to start your own business.    Join some network groups and get some info on running your own business including marketing.   Talk with and learn from others in their own small buisness's.     Marketing your business will be your greatest challenge, especially in today's times.   Doesn't matter what you know,  it's how people percieve you as a service company.     It's not just going out and fixing,   it's learning bookeeping,   getting tax free state ID numbers,  accounting (I hire an accountant),   Taxes,  permits,  setting up vehicle and stocking with parts.     Good luck on whichever course you choose to take.   People here will try to help you.
