LG LW1210ER 12,000 BTU unit Question

I went to Home Depot and exchanged the LG LWHD1009R I had posted about. I picked up the LG LW1210ER 12,000.
My question on the new 12,000 is the 3 fan speeds  have very very little difference between them.  I have an LG LWHD1209R which is last years model.
All three fan settings seem to have a substantial difference between them. With # 3 very strong.
The #3 setting on this new 1210ER is about 2/3rds less powerful.

Is this new machine just a more quieter unit or is there something wrong with the fan control?
Feels like the new unit just isn't pushing the air across the room as much.

Anyone know of a good site that has full specs on units. Maybe a site that includes the decibel ratings on each unit?

It is a improved model to be quiet.

Wow... Nice improvement on the earlier model.  This had to been one on the quietest units I ever heard.

Do you think this explains it being 3" larger than the older model?

So to make it quieter LG just slows the fan down on high speed?

If that fan is slower is the unit as efficient as the older 12,000 with a stronger fan?
