Remove the screws and pull the base to you. To reinstall have the front at an angle and shove the bottom on in. Very nice old dryer. Well worth repairing. They don't make em like that no more. Click Picture to enlarge:

Back in business. :banana:

Thank you again for your patience.
Part arrived while I was out of town.
Took less than 5 minutes to replace.
I used my shop vac to clean things up on general principal.
the front went back on super easy.
I am so pleased and  my wife is pleased.
If your wife isn't happy, the chances of you being happy is slim to none.
Nice job, all of you.

It was indeed the flame sensor.
