Another dead Sears piece of junk!

My brother in law called yesterday in a tizzy. He tried to do the laundry, and the washer won't spin and drain. It fills and agitates  fine. The washer makes no noise in the spin cycle. In trying to diagnose this over the telephone, it sounds to me like a bad lid switch. What do y'all think?

I considered joining but the rules were a bit discouraging.

I've drag raced a lot but found that Road Rallying was quite fun.
Especially at night on rural roads and snowing!
The entire event lasted some 5 hours--a blast.
