Kemore washer, first an oil leak, now it doens't spin
« on: June 11, 2010, 07:29:02 AM »
Hi,
I would like to see if I can save my washer. First it developed an oil leak. I'm guessing it's some sort of transmission fluid. I continued to use it because I didn't have time to look at it. (work, school, life in general) Then it developed a very loud banging noise (similar to when it's off balance, but it wasn't off balance) then quit spinning altogether. I've fixed many things on my own, but never a washer. Suggestions on what to look at first would be great.
Thank you!
Kathy

The 2 most common problems is the lidswitch and the coupling. This video shows how to get into the machine

Do them checks first. If all of that is good we can go a little deeper. Nothing is hard about repairing these washers.
