Kenmore elite icemaker not turning

The icemaker in my Kenmore elite is not completely turning the ice out of the icemaker.  It pushes it out about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way and then stops,  it refills with water.  The fingers then freeze into the new ice.  Then it seems to spin another 1/2 of the way.  I end up with ice that looks like an L shape.  It was working fine then one day it just stopped.  Sometimes it does work at all. Any ideas what to look for or test?
