Hi, My Whirlpool Dishwasher is only 3 years old and it just stopped with bit of water still in tub.  I noticed about a month ago that when I used the drying cycle it smelt bit funny so I quit using the drying cycle. Now it just quit and the control panel doesn't lite up just dead. Tried breaker and new outlet and nothing. What could be wrong?
Thanks for your time.

If there is no power and no lights on the control panel, there is a thermal fuse mounted on many of the whirlpool dishwasher control panels (computer board inside). This could be blown.

BI-METAL
Part Number: W10258275

As Beehive suggested, this is a perfect place to check first.   Check the BI-METAL for continuity.  If the BI-METAL is open----> Replace.

Before making any repair or doing any diagnostics to this machine or any machine, Be sure to disconnect power first.

The fuse doesn't look like a regular fuse, it is a round disc. I attached a picture with a circle around the fuse. Do you have a multi meter?  If so, disconnect the power to machine, then disconnect the wires to the fuse and test continuity across fuse.
