A year ago the LE error was fixed by taking the front cover off and splicing a 'broken' wire in the wiring harness. Again the LE error, cannot find a broken wire as of yet.
Also the door has no 'catch' any more and just falls open.
All LG dishwashers *LDF6810* had the potential for two different causes of the "LE" error.
The first is from a pulled wire inside the door.
This should be repaired and the entire wire harness from the bottom of the door up to the detergent dispenser housing should be wrapped with electrical tape.
Then cut a small section of cardboard & place it between the taped wire loom and the black insulation on the door.
The second common fault was from the wash motor. The original SUMP ASSEMBLY was p/n: 6871DD1002B.
All new SUMP ASSEMBLIES are now p/n:
AJH31248604This new sump assy will improve wash results significantly. The wash motor is no longer an issue (LE error).
The insulation material also has been changed from a tar-like material to a cloth blanket. Wire breaks are not an issue anymore either.
If the door will no longer *latch*
This is a broken DOOR LATCH ASSY.
If the door drops down when opened---this is a sagging door spring issue.
