Two different door gasket clamps---require two different CLAMP REMOVAL TOOLS.

The 2nd tool is for the inner spring (much more tension than the outer spring)

Part # 383EER4004A

LG Washer Outer tub spring removal tool - Factory Part Number: 383EER4001A

LG Washer Inner tub spring removal tool - Factory Part Number: 383EER4004A

FYI...

The photo in the repairclinic listing for the 383EER4004A clamp tool is *incorrect* and is actually showing the other tool (383EER4001A).

The 383EER4004A clamp tool is a different design.

I have added the tools to our appliance tool topic at this URL.

http://appliancejunk.com/tools

If there are any other specialty appliance repair tools anyone thinks we should add to the above appliance repair tool URL please let me know.

I don't own either one of these tools myself.

So your saying my links are correct, but the images at repairclinic are not correct?

Repairclinic's images are incorrect.

Normally not a big deal---but if someone is looking at these images they may understandably purchase only one tool as they are identical in repairclinic's shown images.

Both tools are needed.

I do not own these tool either so I can not say if the images are correct or not, but they look like two different tools to me.

On the one tool the jaws are offset and the other one has straight jaws.

Disregard my post...

If the image is ENLARGED---I can recognize the tool shape.

It is the correct image.

My apologies for any confusion...

No problem, it happens.

I was just taking a second look myself as I was thinking the same thing Whirlpooltech posted.
