I know people hate resuscitating old threads, but I found your website directly from a Google search, and I have the exact same issue. For people like me that research problems and start threads as a last resort, putting all the useful information in a single thread is so much more useful than multiple threads with only one showing the answer!
My dryer (LG TROMM
DLE2515S) uses drum
3045EL1002D, which is apparently no longer made and doesn't show to be compatible with drums of those other revisions. I have a guy on craigslist selling a broken dryer for $50 that uses drum
3045EL1002F. I have emailed LG to ask if they are compatible, but I deeply expect the customer support will simply read off the compatibility list which no doubt all the other parts websites use that don't list D compatible with the others.
John63 suggested "a phone call to parts research can confirm this.". I feel that's what I've done by emailing LG, but if anyone knows better please let me know! Aside from physically examining the two drums, is there any other ways I can test their compatibility?
Many, many thanks,
Daf
