LG dishwasher not getting dishes clean

OK Guys. Entering this discussion because I have a similar problem. I have a LG dishwasher that wont drain completely. The model # is LDF7811ST/01. My wife also complained about the dishes not getting as clean as they should for some time now. Are these two problems related? Do I need to replace the sump assembly? And if so just how much does one cost?

A SLOW/INCOMPLETE DRAIN symptom is usually caused by:

1) Blockage at the sink *air gap* if one is used.
    Remove the chrome cover & plastic cap & remove any debris
    that may have accumulated.

2) A blockage at the discharge connector on the *sink disposer*
    or standard under-sink drain connector. (Remove & inspect)

3) A crimped/partially crushed dishwasher drain line either behind
    the dishwasher or at the point where the drain hose enters
    the under-sink cabinet (at the hole in the wood panel).

4) Small piece of debris in the drain hose at the connector to
    the drain pump housing (under the dishwasher).

POOR WASH RESULTS on the LG LDF7811ST/01 model is usually a symptom of a failing SUMP ASSEMBLY. Replacing the SUMP ASSEMBLY (p/n: AJH31248604) will dramatically improve cleaning results.

Thanks John. I did pull the drain hose off at the disposal port and turned the dishwasher on to drain the water out of the bottom. It seemed to pump the water out fairly forcibly so I suspected that the restriction was in the disposal connection. I cleaned it out last night and ran it through a cycle and when I got up this morning there was no water in the bottom. Maybe that simple fix solved the problem. Thanks again!
