We just moved into our new home about 3 months ago and with the home we got the appliances. The washer and dryer aren't that old, but they were in good condition. Within a month of or move, we got a 3ft flood in the basement, which apparently started to affect our washer.
We washed our clothes once after the flood, but the next time, the washer started to smoke when it reached the spinning cycle.
We're not sure if the dryer still works since we haven't tried it after the washer started to act up.
So, we waited about week and half to try it again, thinking that it might of been left over water from flood, but it did it again.
What can possibly be?
I read some other posts and they mention it could be the belt, it could be the motor..
We are debating whether we should repair it or completely replace it, since the models aren't that new and it might just run for a little bit longer til it breaks again.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
