Whirlpool Condenser Tumble Dryer AWZ 7303

Hi there,
This is not quite a repair question, but have just bought one of these, and do not have the manual for the model that I have. 857573015035. I have looked on Whirlpool and the only one that I can get is the 857573015034.

There are two buttons on the dryer, a start and a gentle. The start causes the dryer to work, but what does the gentle do?

I suppose the real question that I am trying to find out, is if there is a way to coll the drying cycle down, it seems to be very hot.
