Kenmore 90+ will not drain water after wash cycle

This problem just started about 3 weeks ago..After the wash cycle is complete the dial will not advance to the next cycle.. I have to manually push in and pull out the dial or completely turn dial to the next cycle to make the water drain. I am unsure if this is a problem with the dial itself or the lid switch? Any suggestions?

If it was the lid switch, you would get no joy from moving the timer. Most likely the timer. Make sure the connections to the timer are all tight and clean.

I agree with JW. Chances are it's just a bad timer.
The timer is something you can easily replace yourself.

I looked up your model number and it uses timer # 3946475.
