Kenmore Model 70 electric dryer heating element 279838

Replaced the heating element part # 279838 and the thermostat, but one red wire was melted to the thermostat before replacing....now I don't know where to hook up the wires...I have 2 read wires and 1 orange wire.

The orange wire connects to a small terminal on the lower limit. It powers the timer motor. You want the 2 red wires to send shocktricity to the heating element and lower limit. The lower limit on one side connects directly to the element so no need to put a wire there. So that leaves the other side of the lower limit and the other side of the heater where nothing is connected. You simply put one red wire to the side of the element that is not connected to the lower limit and that leaves the other red wire which feeds power to both the lower limit and heater from the lower limit side.
