KV-20FS100 Sony 20" Triniton TV made 2002

I have this 2002 Sony flat screen tv that I have not turned on more than 80 times since I bought it. Two and a half years ago when I moved to a different address (I think the movers were not careful with it) it has done this: I connect it to cable and turn it on. It stays on for approx 5 mins, then cuts off. It will not turn on again immediately. There is a delay of hours. Should I junk it, or is it worth saving?

Sounds like a voltage protection shut down... can be in the high or low voltage system. You can check this with the brighness control the lower the brightness the lower the voltage.. and brighter the higher the voltage...

it will cost you around $100 to get it check out.. and more to get it fixed...

most likely cheaper to replace.
