i love this story
« on: March 01, 2008, 05:33:32 AM »
went to a customers home for a no bake in oven complaint

checked oven, needed thermostat, called part store for availability and summoned customer from the other room

told lady of the house " i dont have your part, but it is available in town, i can come back tomorrow with it.
lady "shushes" me and says wait here....
comes back with a folded up 20 dollar bill and says... " this is for you if you tell my husband it will take 2 weeks to get the part, he has taken me out for dinner every night since it broke"
i controled myself and said" for the best line ever, you can keep the 20 and i'll tell him one week"
she said "ok... but keep the 20"
