Thanks JW!  After putting off the repair and the intermittent spin getting progressively worse, I ordered the neutral drain kit from Appliance Parts Pros.  Talk about fast shipping!  My 13 year old son and I took the washer out into our garage and began the disassembly.  After opening the transmission, I found a very slight flat spot in the plastic pawl.  I replaced all the parts except the plates provided and managed to get it all back together.  So far, after running two loads, it has yet to fail to spin.  I really appreciate your help in this matter.  It only cost about $20 including shipping!

thanks again,

rick...

About the icons: The beer is tip link, if a tech saves ya some money buy em a 6 pack. The small green square=personal message. The green dot is a link to my web page on appliance repair and other general BS I love to post. The letter sends me email and I wish I knowed how to do IM's without the IM lizards that pop up. Very annoying.
