KitchenAid Ancient (1987) dishwasher manifold/receiver problem

Basic problem: The THRMST-OVN (part 3 in schmantic) keeps falling out of the Part 2.

Details: After a few wash loads, part 3 stays attached to the basket (stuck in the Manifold to Receiver, Rubber Water Delivery Tube).

I've tried a little vegatable oil at the end of Part 3 so it doesn't get stuck in the delivery tube, but that hasn't worked.

I'm ready for some ideas.

Try a little aquarium grade silicone rubber on the rubber tabs to keep the tube in place. Make sure everything is bone dry and clean and let sit for 24 hours. This may do the trick.

This worked perfectly -- and let me keep this 20+ year-old dishwasher cooking!

Thanks for the expert advice.

(BTW, before replying, I waited until I ran the dishwasher through about 6 cycles to see if the trick helped.)
