Whirlpool dishwasher runs great, but door leaks like crazy

So my dishwasher is leaking on the left hand side and I came to this site just looking for a new seal.  I want to check the vent but I can't figure out how to get the vent off.  is there a special trick?

Another question is are you washing anything other than dishes in it.  I ask because I went on a call on a whirlpool dishwasher and they were washing the furnace filters in it. I replicatated the problem with some cookie sheets. Empty it didnt leak, with the cookie sheets in it, like the furnace filters would be placed, it leaked.

It just pulls straight off. And that probably is your problem.
